Why did I receive a gift card instead of a direct deposit?

If you were expecting to be paid via direct deposit to a linked account, you were sent a gift card because there may have been a connection error between the linked account and Plaid when payment was processed. The gift card was sent automatically to ensure no further delay of payment.

We cannot cancel or void a gift card payment once sent and attempt another deposit.
